Area Manager
Minimum Age – 25
You will travel between resorts ensuring that company policy is being followed and that all staff are providing an excellent level of customer service. You will ensure that all necessary health and safety requirements for both clients and staff are met. You will work alongside Chalethotel Managers to ensure maximum revenues from company bars, ski pass and lesson sales and equipment hire. You will play a leading role in staff training and development. You will develop relations with local suppliers to enable them to deliver to Ski Olympic and our guests the best possible service.
Requirements – The confidence and personality to lead. You must be clear thinking and decisive with the ability to communicate company policy to staff and the strength of character to ensure it is upheld. You will be a senior public face of Ski Olympic in resort easily meeting guests, listening to their comments and sharing with them the company ideals. You will have the flexibility to adapt to always changing situations and a calm, effective manner in dealing with any problems or complaints.
Spoken French is essential.

Chalethotel Manager
Minimum Age – 25
You will take overall responsibility for the running of a 40 to 70 bed Chalethotel overseeing the work of 10 to 25 employees. You will ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction as well as looking after a range of resort operations such as accounts, transfers and liasing with local suppliers.
Requirements – You will have experience in Hotel Management or extensive experience in the skiing industry. You will have the confidence and personality to lead a staff team, an attention to detail to ensure guest expectations are exceeded and the flexibility to adapt to daily changes to your workload. Spoken French would be an advantage.

Head Chef – more than 45 guests
Minimum Age – 23
You will be responsible for leading a 4/5 person kitchen team catering for up to 75 guests and 20 staff. You will provide a hot and continental style breakfast, an afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and on 6 nights per week, a 3-course dinner party style evening meal.
You must be able to work to a menu plan, though your ideas and input are encouraged, within a set budget. You will be responsible for kitchen hygiene, ordering and stock control and will report directly to the Chalethotel Manager.
Requirements – You will be qualified, have extensive kitchen experience and have the confidence to lead a small kitchen team.

Head Chef – 20 to 45 guests
Minimum Age – 21
You will take responsibility in a small 2 or 3 person kitchen team, catering for up to 45 guests and 12 staff. You will provide a hot and continental style breakfast, an afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes, and on 6 nights per week, a 3-course dinner party style evening meal.
You must be able to work to a menu plan, though your ideas and input are encouraged, within a set budget. You will be responsible for kitchen hygiene, ordering and stock control and will report directly to the Chalethotel Manager. You will be expected to be able to interact with the guests and play a role in “hosting” the chalet.
Requirements – You will be qualified with extensive kitchen experience. You will be organised and reliable and will relish the opportunity of playing a full role in ensuring the guests have a great holiday.

Chalet Chef – up to 20 guests
Minimum Age – 21
You will take sole responsibility for providing your guests with a hot and continental breakfast, an afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and on 6 nights per week, a 3-course evening meal. You must be able to work to a menu plan, though your ideas and input are encouraged, within a set budget. You will be responsible for kitchen hygiene, ordering and stock control. Your personality will play a large part in ensuring that your guests have an enjoyable holiday. In some of the smaller chalets (10/12 beds) you may also take on the role of chalet person.
Requirements – You will be qualified with kitchen experience. You will be able to work alone in the kitchen and will enjoy the chance to play host to your guests. You will be confident and extremely personable.

Assistant Chef
Minimum Age – 21
You will assist the Head Chef in all areas of the kitchen, preparing breakfast, afternoon tea and on 6 nights per week, a 3-course evening meal. You will enjoy not only working as part of the kitchen team but also within the chalet as a whole to ensure the guests have the most enjoyable holiday possible.
Requirements – You will have some kitchen experience and have the desire to improve your skills.

Plongeur
Minimum Age – 21
You will spend the majority of your time washing up but may also be asked to take a hand in some simple food preparation. You will be a good team member and will not be frightened of hard work. You will keen to play a role outside the kitchen in ensuring that the guests have the best holiday possible.
Requirements – You will be hard working, sociable and reliable.

Ski Host
Minimum Age – 21
You will play a vital role in ensuring the success of each guest’s holiday. You will be invited by the guests to ski with them on 4 ½ days per week, and therefore must be a competent skier and have the personality and sense of responsibility to be able to play host to a group of guests on the slopes each day. On Sundays you will be involved in a busy transfer day, either repping a coach to and from the airport or driving a minibus. You will advise the guests and sell to them lift passes, ski school lessons and ski and boot hire. Within the chalet, when not on the snow, you will play a vital role in ensuring your guests are looked after and enjoy their holiday to the full. Ski Host is a demanding but extremely rewarding role.
Requirements – Skiing qualification or extensive experience. You will be mature and responsible with excellent communication skills and a vibrant, confident personality. A clean driving licence is an advantage.

Bar staff
Minimum Age – 21
You will work shifts in one of our busy, public bars creating a clean, welcoming atmosphere. You will bring a lively, mature attitude to the role and will be able to generate ideas for promotions and theme nights in order to achieve profit targets. You will be the public face of the company and therefore need to be happy, confident and well presented.
Requirements – You will have a good history of bar experience. You will be numerate, honest and reliable. Any spoken French or Dutch will be an advantage.

Chalet Person
Minimum Age – 21
You will work mornings and evenings 6 days per week cleaning the guest bedrooms and bathrooms and all communal areas within your chalet or chalethotel. You will also be responsible for laying up the dining room and for serving breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal. You may work as the only chalet person within a small unit or as part of a team within a bigger one. On Sunday transfer day a full change over of guests means a long and tiring day and no skiing. You will have a lot of guest contact and will thus need to be confident, happy and sociable. How you go about your job will have enormous effect on the guest’s enjoyment of their holiday.
Requirements – You will be personable, reliable and be able to work alone or as part of a team.

Ski Technician
Minimum age – 21
You will be responsible for meeting the guests ski and boot hire requirements. This will involve preparing and maintaining the equipment as well as individually fitting each guest out with his or her kit. This role may be combined with that of Maintenance or Plongeur, or you may be asked by the Chalet manager to help out in any other areas of the chalet. You must be responsible and hard working, with an attention to detail and a personable manner. You will have a good deal of guest contact and will play a full role in “hosting” the chalet.
Requirements – Technician’s certificate. Experience in the ski hire business.

Maintenance
Minimum Age – 21
You will assess difficulties and be able to carry out appropriate repairs and maintenance in and around the chalets and chalethotels. Your role may be combined with that of Plongeur or Ski Technician, or you may be asked by the chalet Manager to help out in any other areas of the chalet. You will have a good deal of contact with the guests and will play a full role in “hosting” the chalet.
Requirements – You will be a qualified electrician, plumber or joiner. You will be flexible and adaptable and be able to work alone. You will need a clean, current driving licence.
