Renowned for some of the most extensive and challenging skiing in Europe, the purpose built resort of Tignes has traditionally been the destination of those in the know. Linked with Val d’Isere to form the massive Espace Killy, Tignes has been intelligently developed to become a top resort.
To support the thriving visiting and local community, there is a good array of activities available, and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars, many with live music and satellite TV. Our chalets and chalethotel are well located, close to the village amenities and all within 150m of the piste.

There are several free nursery slopes close to the village at 2100m to start you off, as well as a smattering of green runs around the resort. Several lifts allow both upward and downward journeys which enable beginners to explore the resort without getting stranded at high altitude.
With the outstanding high speed lift system, intermediates can jet off from the centre of Tignes and explore the fantastic mix of skiing in all directions, from tree lined runs down to Les Brevieres to knee bashing moguls above Val Claret and the spectacular ridge above Val d’Isere.
The long-time choice of season workers looking for an adrenaline rush, Tignes has a reputation as a seriously expert resort. There is a huge selection of demanding on- and off-piste runs and the links to Val d’Isere for virtually unlimited challenges.
With the fantastic off-piste available throughout the Espace Killy, snowboarders will find more than enough to keep them busy. For those that fancy a challenge (or just want to watch), competitions are regularly held in the various terrain parks.
